Shared philosophy
Every Waypoint app inherits the same quiet commitments:
- Privacy-first — field notes, finds, receivers, and personal records stay on your device by default. When a network path is required, we say so.
- Education-first — tools teach context and judgment; they do not pretend unfinished features are ready.
- Curiosity-first — the job is careful attention, not content consumption.
- Calm technology — interfaces stay readable and unhurried; motion supports understanding, not addiction.
We do not build for engagement addiction, a follower economy, or gamification. No streaks that punish absence. No public popularity rankings inside field tools. Contribution and creation remain personal choices.
